New inclusion in the Vodafone Fiji 7s team Alivereti Veitokani says he has always dreamed of donning the 7s jumper.
Veitokani says when he received the call yesterday he was excited and couldn’t wait to join the team.
The 24-year-old from Lomainasau, Tokatoka in Tailevu was also part of the Fiji 7s side that featured in the Macuata 7s two weeks ago.
The former RKS student who’s ultimate aim was to represent Fiji also played for Vatukoula and Nadroga in the 15s level.
Veitokani believes this is a step in the right direction for him and believes he will do Fiji proud.
The team also presented their itatau to President Jioji Konrote today.
They will depart for Dubai at 4.30pm tomorrow.
Fiji will meet Canada in their first pool match of the Dubai 7s at 6 pm next Friday.
They will then take on Japan at 9 pm next Friday before facing Argentina at 3.28am next Saturday.
South Africa is the defending champion of the Dubai 7s.
