The Vatukoula Football Association has been de-registered as an affiliated member of the Fiji Football Association.

This was after they failed to follow compliance issues relating to club competitions and performances in the Vodafone Senior League.

Fiji FA’s President, Rajesh Patel says players who still have a Vatukoula district licence can play for Tavua as Vatukoula and Tavua will be one district now.

Vatukoula was recently thrashed 29-nil by Tailevu Naitasiri in a Vodafone Senior League match.

Patel says it’s an embarrassment for football when a team loses  by 29‑0, and a team does not has 11 players on the field.

Patel says all the matches that Vatukoula has played so far would be declared null and void which means that no result would be applicable which also includes the goals scored by opponents again Vatukoula.

He says the Vodafone Senior League would now officially have only 7 teams participating.
