Businessman Aiyaz Mohammed Mussa Umarji is now part of the Fiji Football Association Board.
Fiji FA’s CEO Mohammed Yusuf says that there were two positions vacant in the Fiji FA Board and Umarji who was recently appointed as the Board member is now involved with the finance and audit division of the Fiji FA.
Yusuf says Umarji who owns a Pharmacy in the West is a Chartered Accountant and brings wealth of financial knowledge in the Fiji FA.
Yusuf says they will make another appointment soon by adding another woman in the Fiji FA Board.
Meanwhile, the Fiji FA Congress will take place on 3rd May this year in Lautoka where the President and four Vice Presidents positions will be up for elections.
Yusuf confirms that current President, Rajesh Patel will contest for another term.
The Vice Presidents positions that will be contested are currently being occupied by Yogeshwar Singh, Susan Wise and Edwin Chand.
Another Vice President’s position will be contested which has become vacant after Tarunesh Reddy was removed from his position.
