Blues coach Tana Umaga is eyeing small improvements as he and the Blues travel to South Africa today.
The Blues notched up their fourth Super Rugby win of the season with a 36‑30 win over the Melbourne Rebels at Eden Park.
They will meet the Kings, Lions and Western Force before returning to New Zealand.
Umaga says they will need to rein in their flair if they're to return with maximum points.
The Blues and the Ioane brothers have parted ways.
Akira and Rieko Ioane join Sir Gordon Tietjens and the All Blacks Sevens squad today, with heavy fitness work expected.
Umaga said there will be no big farewells.
The Blues will meet the Kings at 3.05am Sunday.
