U.S Open Champion, Naomi Osaka is being sued by former Coach, Christophe Jean.
According to media reports, Osaka’s former coach, Christophe Jean, is suing the tennis superstar and her family for an unpaid contract deal.
The tennis coach who began working with Naomi Osaka back when she was 13 claims her father signed a contract promising him 20% of her career earnings.
Jean says Naomi's father, Leonard Francois hired him to work with Naomi and his other daughter, Mari, back in 2011 but couldn't pay his rates at the time, so they struck a deal in which Jean agreed to accept 20% of Naomi and Mari's tennis prize money and endorsement deals forever.
According to the official Women’s Tennis Rankings website, Osaka has made more than $10.8m USD during her career ‑‑ and that's not including endorsement money.
Jean wants his cut at least $2 million and is suing Naomi Osaka, her sister and her father.
