The U19 Marist Brothers High School team remains unbeaten in the National Secondary Schools Basketball Championships which is currently underway at the FMF Gymnasium.
Marist caused a major upset beating defending boys champions, Saint John’s College 11-7 in their second pool match.
Marist also thrashed Swami Vivekananda College 25-3 and also beat Gospel High School 31-6 this afternoon.
In other results of the third round of games for the U19 boys grade, Yat Sen Secondary School defeated the All Stars 33-12, Tilak High School beat RKS 15-10 and Saint’s Johns College defeated Swami Vivekananda College 23-16.
In the U17 boys grade, Natabua High School thrashed Marist Brothers High School Team 1 25-1.
Natabua earlier thumped Ratu Kadavulevu School 41-3.
In other U17 matches, Marist Brothers High School beat Saint John’s College 23-11, John Wesley College edged Tilak High School 11-10 and Gospel High School thrashed RKS 23-7.
In the Under 15 grade, Swami Vivekananda College beat International School Suva 29-12.
In the girls division, Suva Grammar School beat Gospel High School 20-10 in the Under 19 grade, Saint Joseph’s Secondary School beat Yat Sen Secondary School 19-11 in the Under 17 grade while Suva Grammar School defeated Saint John’s College 39-8 in the Under 17 grade.
Suva Grammar School also beat Yat Sen Secondary School 25-9 in the Under 15 girls.
