Vunisea Provincial Secondary School and Richmond Methodist High School will not be participating in the Coca-Cola Games this year.

Coca-Cola Games Head Organiser, Vuli Waqa says the two schools were badly affected by Cyclone Keni and they have pulled out of the competition.

There is an increase in the number of schools taking part in the Coca-Cola Games this year.

Waqa says 156 schools have confirmed their participation compared to 143 last year.

Meanwhile, Damodar Cinemas has given a sponsorship of $7000 to the Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Association for the Coca-Cola Games.

This includes a cash donation of $3000 as well as complimentary food vouchers and free movie passes to all gold medalists.

The Coca-Cola Games will be held from Thursday to Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
