Uprising Youth 7s defending champion Tuva Youth is one win away from defending their title after a hard-fought battle against Hong Kong Youth in the semifinal at Lawaqa Park.
Tuva Youth winger Nemia Nawave’s speed was the difference in the game as he scored two tries to secure his side a spot in the final.
Tuva Youth beat Hong Kong 12‑7.
Nawave’s pace has been the highlight for the Uprising Youth 7s tournament after scoring some brilliant individual tries in the pool games yesterday.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong’s try was scored by lanky prop Max Denmark in the 5th minute of the first half.
In the other semifinal, Wesley Fijians defeated Kings 7s 36‑15.
Tuva Youth will play Wesley Fijians in the final in this hour.
