Manueli Tulo has won a gold medal at the Oceania Championships in Gold Coast, Australia.
He lifted 107Kg in the snatch and 135Kg in the Clean & Jerk, narrowly missing the 140Kg.
His total of 242Kg won him the Gold Medal in the Oceania Title.
The win makes it the 9th Gold Medal that Tulo has won at the Oceania Championships since 2010.
Meanwhile, Poama Qaqa also won the gold medal in the Oceania Junior Championships and a Bronze medal in the Oceania Senior Championships.
He also won bronze in the Commonwealth Junior Championships and finished 6th in the Commonwealth Senior Event.
He lifted 109Kg in the snatch and 135Kg in the Clean & Jerk to record a total lift of 244Kg, which was a personal best for Poama in International Competitions.
Tulo and Poama are expected to qualify for the Commonwealth Games, based upon their performances in Gold Coast.
Apolonia Vaivai will compete in the 69Kg weight category at 1.35pm today while Eileen Cikamatana will take part in the 90kg weight category at 9am tomorrow.
