Tough competition is expected between Marist Brothers High School and Queen Victoria School in the Coca Cola Games 100 metres event.
Sprinters, Ilaitia Waqa of QVS and Albert Miller Junior of Marist have proved themselves to be worthy contenders for the blue ribbon event title.
Both athletes won the 100 metres and 200 metres events in their respective Athletics Zones last month.
Albert Miller Junior won gold for Marist in the Suva Zone 2 senior boys 100 metres final with a time of 11.43 seconds while Ilaitia Waqa won the Tailevu Zone 100m Senior Boys final in a time of 11.39 seconds.
Waqa was the winner of the Intermediate Boys 200 metres last year for John Wesley College.
Banuve Tabakaucoro currently holds the Senior Boys 100 metres record with a time of 10.43 seconds.
The Senior boys 100 metres heats will be held on Thursday the 28th of this month at 4 in the afternoon at the ANZ Stadium.
The 2016 Coca Cola Games will be held from the 28th to the 30th of this month.
