Tottenham begins EPL season on a high defeating Newcastle 2-1

Tottenham have begun this season’s English Premier League on a high note after the team defeated Newcastle 2-1 last night.

This is the second year running as that the team has come out triumphant in their first EPL match.

Jan Vertonghen's early header put the Spurs ahead.

That advantage was short‑lived as the hosts equalized 149 seconds later.

However Tottenham came out as the better team with the inclusion World Cup stars such as England's Harry Kane.

Dele Alli scored the winning goal for the spurs.

Meanwhile in other Premier League matches this morning, Bournemouth defeated Cardiff 2-0, Fulham lost to Crystal Palace 2-0, Chelsea outclassed Huddersfield by 3-0, Brighton lost to Watford 2-0 while Everton and the Wolves finished their match with a 2-2 draw.
