Totori and Matarerega players to look out for in Courts IDC semifinals

Nadi’s Rusiate Matarerega and Lautoka’s Benjamin Totori will definitely be the players to look-out for in the semi-finals of the 80th Courts IDC today as they are currently the highest goal-scorers of the tournament.

Matarerega who is from Bavu Village in Nadi and Totori who is the Captain of the Solomon’s soccer team have scored four goals each in the IDC.

Other top players that are also expected to play a key role for their teams in the semis include Vilitati Kautoga, Christopher Wasasala and Pita Levaci of Labasa, Rahul Krishna and Imraan Shah of Nadi and Sairusi Nalaubu of Lautoka.

They have scored two goals each in the tournament so far.

Meanwhile, Nadi’s Rusiate Matarerega received the Golden Boot Award in Fiji Football Association’s presentation ceremony last night after he scored eight goals in the Vodafone Premier League competition.

Lautoka will play Nadi at 4.30pm today in the first semi-final of the Courts IDC while Labasa will face Suva at 7pm in the second semi-final at the ANZ Stadium.

The final will be played at 3pm tomorrow.
