Top teams for Coastal Great Eight Sevens tournament

Top teams like Wardens Gold, Red Rock, Police, Ratu Filise Blue, Tokatoka Dragons and Wardens Green will play in the Coastal Great Eight Sevens tournament this weekend at Lawaqa Park.

The tournament which serves as a qualification for the Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast 7s is expected to be intensely competitive as handsome prize money has been announced for the top finishing teams.

The Cup winner will walk away with $30,000 while the Cup Runner-up will get $10,000.

The losing cup semifinalists will receive $3,750 each.

The Plate, Bowl and Shield winners and runners-up will also walk away with prize money.

32 teams have been drawn in eight pools.

At the conclusion of the pool matches, the top two teams from each pool will move through to the Round of 16.

The tournament kicks off at 9.40am tomorrow where Wardens Gold will play Nabucobuco Youth and Red Rock will take on Sea Breeze.
