A late Wests Tigers try steals a dramatic win over the Melbourne Storm and ruins Billy Slater's 300th game.
Tigers prop Ben Matulino was sin‑binned for a professional foul and the Storm took advantage to send the ball wide to winger Suliasi Vunivalu, who dived across in the corner.
After their opening‑round defeat from the Sydney Roosters, the Tigers showed no fear against the Storm last night to continue their unbeaten start to the season.
The Tigers tossed aside the script for Storm superstar Billy Slater's 300th NRL match to rattle the home side from the opening whistle and nailed the win with Brooks' try in the 78th minute.
In other results, the Penrith Panthers beat the South Sydney Rabbitohs 18‑14, the Warriors beat the Titans 20-8, the Dragons beat the Sharks 20-16, the Roosters tamed the Bulldogs 30-12 while the Broncos edged the Cowboys 24-20.
Meanwhile in tonight’s matches, the Sea Eagles will take on the Eels at 5.10pm and the Raiders will play the Knights at 7:30pm.
