All Blacks Sevens coach Gordon Tietjens have named a strong side to play the next two tournaments of the HSBC Sevens World Series in Dubai and Port Elizabeth with two new players.
Tietjens said he is excited to have two impressive young players making their debut which includes Wellington loose forward Murphy Taramai and Counties Manukau centre Sam Vaka.
Highlanders back Kurt Baker returns to the team for the first time since the World Cup in Moscow last year.
Tietjens said Gold Coast was disappointing and they have not done particularly well in Dubai over the last couple of years.
He added he has a good feeling after naming the side and can start off their first game with a lot of confidence.
Other players in the All Blacks squad include Scott Curry, Ambrose Curtis, Sam Dickson, DJ Forbes, Gillies Kaka, Tim Mikkelson, Declan O'Donnell, Sherwin Stowers, and Joe Webber.
The All Blacks Sevens are up against Scotland, Japan and Samoa and are currently sitting at fifth place in the World Series.
Meanwhile the Vodafone Fiji 7s team will take on France in their first pool match at 6.44pm next Friday. They will later meet Brazil at 9.44pm.
