Three players with links to Fiji have been named in the All Blacks 7s team for first leg of the HSBC World 7s series.
They are Luke Masirewa, Akuila Rokolisoa and Jona Nareki.
Joe Ravouvou has been left out of the team as he awaits his New Zealand citizenship, after changes to the World Series eligibility rules prevents him from competing until such time.
Vilimoni Koroi remains in New Zealand working on his re-integration to sevens after a long break since the Commonwealth Games.
Coach Clark Laidlaw has named experienced players such as Sione Molia, Scott Curry, Kurt Baker, Sam Dickson, Andrew Knewstubb and Regan Ware in his team.
Co‑captain Tim Mikkelson will remain in New Zealand with the impending arrival of his first child while Northland's Scott Gregory is in line for his All Blacks Sevens debut on the World Series.
The Dubai 7s begins next Friday.
New Zealand are pooled with Spain, USA and Wales.
Meanwhile, Fiji 7's Coach, Gareth Baber is expected to name his team today.
