The only x-factor in the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team is teamwork.
This has been stressed by captain Jerry Tuwai ahead of their first pool match against the Spain Men’s 7s team in the Vancouver 7s tomorrow morning.
Tuwai has told Tembo Sounds Media after the Las Vegas 7s that they have a young side and there is no x-factor in the team but teamwork which they continue to rely on.
Fiji faces a tough challenge in Pool C this weekend against Spain, France and Kenya.
The France 7s team was thrashed 33-5 by Fiji in the Las Vegas 7s but Fiji then lost 17-14 to Kenya.
Coach Gareth Baber has injected some pace into the team this weekend in former Natabua High School sprinter Batinisavu Uluiyata after Jasa Veremalua has been ruled out due to a sickness and niggling injuries.
The squad also includes Vatemo Ravouvou, Waisea Nacuqu, Amenoni Nasilasila, Jerry Tuwai, Kalione Nasoko, Mesulame Kunavula, Paula Dranisinukula, Josua Vakurunabili, Eroni Sau, Vasikali Mudu and Sevuloni Moceinacagi.
