With injuries to Ben Hunt, Jack de Belin and Fiji Bati, Tariq Sims, the St George Illawarra's Dragon gave their top spot on the ladder in a 28‑2 loss to the Panthers.
The Dragons were held tryless for the first time since round 14 last year.
With the New South Wales and Queensland sides to be chosen tomorrow, Head coach for St George Illawarra's Dragons, Paul McGregor remains confident for his star trio, suggesting they should be right to play in Game One if chosen for their respective states.
McGregor says Hunt was determined to stay out on the field but the Dragons medical staff decided to take no chances with their star halfback.
The Dragons have now lost two of their past three matches and share a 9‑3 record with the Panthers.
In other games, Rabbitohs defeated the Warriors 30-10 and Roosters defeated Titans 34-14.
Today’s game will see the Knights take on the Sharks at 4pm and the West Tigers will take on the Bulldogs at 6.10pm.
