As the Fiji Team prepares to fly out to Samoa this Friday for the Commonwealth Youth Games, Irene Vuidravuwalu the sister of Vodafone Flying Fijians wing Waisea Nayacalevu is now making a name for herself as she will also represent Fiji in rugby.
Vuidravuwalu who was selected to be part of the Fiji Under 18 Girls 7s team, says her brother has been encouraging her to take up rugby.
The 18-year-old is currently in Year 12 at Ballantine Memorial School and will be playing in the rover’s position.
Vuidravuwalu was among the future stars today to present their i-Tatau to the President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau.
Fiji is sending 60 athletes and will be represented in 7 of the 9 sports that will be played.
These include archery, athletics, sevens rugby for boys and girls, tennis, squash, swimming and weight lifting.
The team will fly out this Friday while the Commonwealth Youth Games will start next week.
