Newcomers Team Wellington is the first side that has qualified for the Fiji Airways OFC Champions League semi‑finals after winning their third Group match against Tafea FC by 3-2 at the ANZ Stadium last night.
Team Wellington ended the round with a maximum of nine points.
Coach Matt Calcott said that his side coped with the pressure and have done well to qualify for the second round.
In one other match played last night, Hekari United managed to secure a 3‑2 victory over AS Tefana.
After the last matches of Group A and B tonight, it will be decided which other three teams will join Team Wellington in the semis.
At the ANZ Stadium at 4.30pm, Suva will face Western United and at 7pm, defending champions Auckland City will take on Amicale FC.
At Govind Park, FC Gaitcha will play Samoa’s Lupe Ole Soaga at 4.30pm while at 7pm Ba will take on AS Pirae and you can catch the live commentary of this match on Radio Sargam.
The semifinals will be played next Tuesday at the ANZ Stadium while the final will take place at the same venue next Sunday.
