The Team Fiji Women’s 4x400 meters relay team has won gold in the Pacific Mini Games in Vanuatu.
They won with a time of 3 minutes 54 seconds.
The team consisted of Serenia Ragatu, Miriama Senokonoko, Makereta Naulu and Elenani Tinai.
The Men’s 4x400metres relay team had to settle for silver after they were beaten by Papua New Guinea.
Petero Veitaqomaki won gold in the Men’s 1,500 meters race with a time of 4 minutes 19 seconds.
15-year-old Shawntell Lockington also won gold for Team Fiji in the Women’s High Jump with a jump of 1.7 meters in the final.
Eugene Vollmer settled for silver in the Men’s Triple Jump.
The Fiji Women’s soccer team had to settle for silver after they were beaten 2-1 by Vanuatu in the gold medal match last night.
Looking at the medal tally, New Caledonia is first with 43 gold, 16 silver and 13 bronze, Papua New Guinea is second with 31 gold, 26 silver and 20 bronze while Fiji is third with 22 gold, 22 silver and 28 bronze.
