Fiji born Taranaki centre Setareki Tamanivalu has been named the ITM Cup player of the year during the New Zealand rugby awards last night.
The 22-year-old played a big part in Taranaki’s historic victory in the ITM Cup final against Tasman earlier this year.
The former Lelean Memorial School student has been in top in the ITM Cup showing powerful running skills and strong defense which has earned him a two year contract with the Chiefs in the Super Rugby competition.
