Starting a Super Rugby game for the Chiefs alongside his hero Sonny Bill Williams would be a dream come true for new Chiefs midfield, Setareki Tamanivalu.
The 22-year-old who is from Yasawa-i-Rara said his next highest goal is just getting a start alongside anyone probably ranked higher than him.
The return of Williams, who was a towering figure in the number 12 jersey for the Chiefs in 2012 on the way to their inaugural Super Rugby title, has instantly increased the size and physicality of the team’s backline for the coming season.
Tamanivalu who is a former Lelean Memorial School student said it would be a bonus for him to start alongside Williams.
Meanwhile, Chiefs coach Dave Rennie said Tamanivalu will be competing with Charlie Ngatai, Tim Nanai-Williams, Andrew Horrell and Sonny Bill Williams.
Rennie added that after a standout ITM Cup season with Taranaki in 2014, the big Fijian is determined to make a success of his promotion and has goals to force his way into the All Blacks.
