Rewa soccer goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau has been ruled out for six months after sustaining severe injuries to his jaw last weekend.
This is a big blow to the Rewa side that is preparing to take on Labasa in their opening match of the season this weekend.
Tamanisau collided with a player while playing for Raymonds in the Rewa local league competition.
20-year-old Manasa Benito is likely to play at the goalkeeper’s position for Rewa against Labasa in the Galaxy Premier League match at 5.30pm this Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park.
Meanwhile, at 3pm, Tailevu Naitasiri will face Nadi.
