Pacific sprint king and new rugby convert Banuve Tabakaucoro has turned down a few offers from some Rugby League clubs in Australia to pursue his Rugby Sevens dream for Fiji.

Tabakaucoro’s new coach Solomoni Donu told Fijivillage this morning that his training has been going well.

The Silverwaters Barbarian Rugby Club 7s team is currently in camp in Nadroga where they are training at the Sand Dunes, Lawaqa Park and the FRU High Performance Training Center.

Donu says the Fiji Rugby Union is also looking forward to seeing Tabakaucoro do well on the rugby pitch.

The Silverwaters Barbarian Rugby Club will leave our shores next Wednesday where they will play in the Adelaide 7s next Saturday and Sunday.

Many local rugby pundits are looking forward to the progress of Tabakaucoro and what he will bring into Fiji rugby.
