Pacific Games 100 metres defending champion, Banuve Tabakaucoro will run in the second semi-final of the 100 metres race at the Pacific Games later today.
Tabakaucoro ran a time of 10.87 seconds in the heat and will come up against Tony Lemeki in the semi-final. Lemeki ran a time of 10.82 seconds in his heat.
Samoan sprinters Jeremy Dodson and Kelvin Masoe will run in the first semi-final along with Fiji’s Albert Miller Junior.
The 100metres semi-finals are expected to be held later this afternoon.
Heleina Young, Makereta Naulu and Younis Bese are running for Fiji in the Women’s 100 metres.
Petero Veitaqomaki finished first in his 800 metres heat with a time of 1.56.62 seconds.
Kameli Sauduadua finished third in his heat and has managed to qualify for the final at 5.10pm today.
Three Fijian boxers will also take the ring today.
In the Heavyweight division, Daniel Whippy will fight at 12pm,
Elia Rokobuli will fight in the Lightweight division at 3.45pm while Jone Mau will fight in the Light heavyweight division at 4.15pm today.
The Fiji Men’s Basketball team will play Tahiti in the semi-final at 2pm while the Women’s team will play Guam.
