“Banuve Tabakaucoro still needs a lot of work to do.”
Those are the words of Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber on Pacific Sprint King Banuve Tabakaucoro.
When asked today about the speedster, Baber says Banuve will need to prove himself in the local 7s tournaments.
Last month, Tabakaucoro told Fijivillage that he understands the fundamentals needed to become a versatile rugby player.
He adds that he is working hard on it.
Meanwhile Baber says that Jerry Tuwai, Jasa Veremalua and Masivesi Dakuwaqa are not going anywhere and they will be playing for Fiji.
Baber made this clear and says he is not aware of any contract offers from the NRL.
Fiji is pooled with Japan, Australia and Scotland in the Las Vegas 7s.
The Las Vegas tournament will be held from the 4th to the 6th of next month.
