Pacific Sprint King Banuve Tabakaucoro and former Natabua High School sprinter, Batinisavu Uluiyata have been picked in the Fiji 7s Barbarians team that will play in the Oktoberfest 7s in Germany in the coming weekend.
Teams such as Australia, South Africa and England will be competing in the two-day tournament.
Vodafone Fiji 7s Coach Gareth Baber says that the event will be an opportunity to test out the new blood in the Vodafone Fiji 7s squad and gauge their performance in the build up towards the 2017-2018 World 7s Series which kicks off in Dubai in December.
He says it is good to be able to send a Fiji squad to such a competitive tournament and their aim is to expose these players to International level competition which enables them to find out more about them.
Other selected players include Paula Dranisinukula, Josua Kurinabili, Aminoni Nasilasila, Samuela Bale, Anare Tevita, Apenisa Cakaubalavu, Inia Rokomatu, Jone Koronisagana, Alasio Naduva and Eroni Vucago.
