Fiji Bitter Marist 7s defending champions Tabadamu Blue are through to the quarter finals after defeating the giant killers First Light Taveuni 19‑12 in the second elimination this morning.
Laced with former national reps, Tabadamu managed to handle the pressure mounted by the strong Taveuni outfit.
Setefano Cakau, Leo Naikasau, Teri Tamani, Nasoni Roko, Sitiveni Waqa, Emori Waqa and Jone Vota were all outstanding for Tabadamu.
Looking at other elimination results, Army Green beat Newborn Waibasaga 19‑0, Silver Waters Babarians defeated Tokatoka Sharks 12‑7, New Net Yasawa beat Police Blue 12‑5, Shipping Service Suva Stallions beat Trail Blazers 12‑10, Wadigi defeated Big Bula Water Park 17‑12 while Combat Uluinakau Babas thrashed First Light Taveuni two 20‑0.
In the quarter finals, Army Green will play Silver Waters Babarians at 1.10pm. New Net Yasawa will play Shipping Service Suva Stallions at 1.28pm, Tabadamu Blue will play Wadigi at 1.46pm while Kombat Uluinakau Babas will meet the winner of Coastal Ratu Filise 1 and Police White.
The semis will start at 3.10pm while the final will be held at 6.30pm.
