Tabadamu Blue has retained their title in the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s after defeating the Army Green 24-14.

Tabadamu lead in the first half with 12-7.

Samu Bale of Army scored the first try followed by Teri Tamani’s try for the Tabadamu level the scores at 7 all before Tabadamu took the lead again with another try from Leo Naikasau.

Another two tries for Tabadamu at the second half from Captain Jone Vota and Nasoni Roko was enough for them to retain their title.

Tabadamu playmaker Teri Tamani was awarded the Player of the Tournament Award.

Tamani says he is aiming to join the national sevens team and working.

Tamani was also the Player of the Tournament last year.

Meanwhile, Army Captain Isake Katonibau says the two day tournament was tough for everyone and thanked his Army Green players for their hard work.

Vodafone Fiji 7's coach Gareth Baber says this tournament has made his work easier.

Baber adds that he will speak to some player soon.

The national sevens side will camp again next week to prepare for the Hong Kong 7s which will be held from the 7th to the 9th of next month.
