The second day of the BSP Short Course Age Group Nationals started this morning with strong competition.
As of midday today, 33 Age Group Records have been broken.
Rosemary Rova of Nadi Barracudas broke a 6 year old record for the Women’s 11 to 12 years old 400 meters individual medley at a new time of 10.00.55 and Taichi Vakasama of the Barracuda Swimming Club broke a 5 year old record for the Men’s 16 years old 400 meters individual medley at a new time 5.12.84.
The 7 years record for the Men’s 17 & over 50 meters butterfly was broken by Meli Malani of the Dolphin Swimming club at a new time of 26.10 seconds.
A 5 year old record was broken by Temafa Yalimaiwai from Tritons Swimming Club for the Men’s 11 to 12 years old 50 meters butterfly at a new time of 29.12 seconds.
The Nadi Barracudas Swimming Club currently leads the medal tally with 31 gold, 32 silver and 17 Bronze.
The Dolphins Swimming Club is in second place with 30 gold, 12 Silver and 12 Bronze.
The Tritons Swimming Club is currently inthird place.
