Suva soccer side wants CVC series dates deferred

The Suva Soccer side does not want to play the 2016 Pillay Garment Champion versus Champion series on the dates set by the Fiji Football Association.

Suva President Mahendra Prasad says seven of their players are in the Vodafone Fiji Under 23 side that will tour Spain later this week.

They are scheduled to return on the 1st of next month. 

Prasad says they want to play their home game on the 5th of next month and the away leg on the 7th.

Fiji FA’s CEO Bob Kumar says the dates for the CVC remains the same where the first leg will be played on the 31st of this month and the second leg on the 7th of next month.

However, Kumar says they will look into Suva’s request.
