Suva Rugby President, John O’Connor said they are preparing for their semifinal clash against Nadroga in the Skipper Cup competition scheduled for this Saturday.
O’Connor said they understand that Nadroga is also preparing well although the Nadroga Rugby Union has threatened that the team will not feature in this weekend’s semifinal if the Fiji Rugby Union does not respond to some of the issues being raised by Nadroga Rugby.
He said Suva is ready to front up the only undefeated side of this year.
Meanwhile, the FRU has not made any statement so far in relation to the Nadroga Rugby Union’s threat.
When contacted, Fijivillage was only told that FRU is preparing a response.
Nadroga Rugby President Tiko Matawalu said they have sent an email to the FRU and Nadroga wants clear answers on a number of issues.
He said these include Man of the Match payments from Round 1 to 11 to be paid to all unions, CJ Patel products to be supplied to all unions, top Points Winners’ Prizes for the U20 and Seniors to be paid out to the unions, Farebrother Rules and Regulations for 2014 to be circulated and an immediate meeting to be called with all unions to discuss all outstanding matters.
Matawalu said they have given FRU until this Friday to settle these issues.
