The Suva rugby team has named a strong outfit to face Northland in the round two of the Skipper Cup competition at Gatward Park in Korovou today.
Head coach Salimoni Ravouvou says they have seven players who are in the Telecom Fiji Warriors.
He adds that other players who have stepped up are captain Waqabaca Kotobalavu, national sevens playmaker Emosi Mulevoro, former Naitasiri hooker Samu Suguturaga, former Naitasiri halfback Waisale Vatuvoka and former Nadroga players Ratu Meli Kurisaru and Josaia Lotawa.
Ravouvou has also confirmed that Vodafone Fiji 7s vice-captain Isake Katonibau has been directed by the Fiji Rugby Union not to play and recover.
Suva is currently leading the points table with 5 points after recording a bonus point win over Tavua.
Nadi and Vatukoula are in second and third place respectively after they also recorded bonus point wins in their matches.
Ovalau is in fourth position while defending champion Nadroga is in 7th place.
Suva will travel to Korovou to face Northland at 3pm today.
Other matches will see Tailevu hosting Lautoka at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nadroga will take on Vatukoula at Lawaqa Park, Tavua will host Ovalau while Macuata will take on Namosi at Subrail Park and Naitasiri will take on Nadi at Prince Charles Park.
