The Suva soccer team will be rounding off its preparation later today for the first round of the Courts IDC this weekend.

President, Mahendra Prasad said Coach Gurjeet Singh was working on set plays for free kicks and corner kicks with the players last night.

Prasad said the inclusion of former Nadi striker Napolioni Qasevakatini and Lautoka’s defender Poasa Bainivalu has increased Suva’s chances of winning the IDC title in their home ground.

Suva last won the IDC title two years ago at Govind Park.

The first round of Courts IDC kicks off this Saturday at Subrail Park with the Labasa and Suva match at 2pm.

Rewa will face Nadroga at 4pm at Prince Charles Park while Nadi will play Tailevu Naitasiri at 6pm.

Ba will take on Lautoka at 3pm at Churchill Park on Sunday and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
