The Suva soccer team has edged 10 men Ba side 3-2 in the Rewa Galaxy Premier League at the ANZ Stadium.
Ba defender Ravneet Chand was given the marching orders by the referee for handling the ball in the penalty box.
Suva’s Under 20 player Nickel Chand scored the first goal in the 28th minute however in the 43rd minute Ba’s Avinesh Suwamy equalized.
In the 13th minute of the second half Suva got a penalty and striker Maciu Dunadamu put Suva ahead while in the 33rd minute Nickel Chand scored his second and Suva’s third goal.
Shameel Rao scored the second goal for Ba in the dying stages of the match.
The battle is still on between Suva, Ba, Lautoka, Rewa and Labasa for the runners up spot on the League table and also to book a place in the OFC Champions League with Nadi next year.
In one other match Lautoka thrashed Tailevu Naitasiri 4-1 at Ratu Cakobau Park.
Looking at the Premier Division, Navua walloped Nasinu 4-1 at Thomson Park.
Meanwhile, Labasa went down to Rewa 2-1 at Subrail Park yesterday while, Nadi defeated Lautoka 1-0 to clinch the League title after 15 years and Ba walloped Nadroga 3-0 on Friday night.
