Super Rugby returns this weekend, and so does some good one‑on‑one battles to look forward to.
Fresh out of All Blacks camp, the two fullbacks Israel Dagg and Damian McKenzie will be out to get one over another when they line up for the historic clash in Suva tonight.
It's the young excitement machine versus the reliable, older head.
After taking the competition by storm, 21-year-old McKenzie cracked the national squad for the series against Wales, but was the only player not to get game time, so he is itching to get back on the park and put his learning’s into practice.
28-year-old Dagg took his chance in black to show everyone he still has what it takes at the top level, and put in some quality displays as the All Blacks coaches accommodated him by moving the world's best fullback, Ben Smith, to the wing.
The Chiefs will host the Crusaders at 7.35 tonight at the ANZ Stadium while the Brumbies will host the Reds at 9.40pm.
Tomorrow, the Sunwolves will take on the Waratahs at 5.15pm, the Hurricanes will host the Blues at 7.35pm while the Rebels will take on the Stormers at 9.40pm tomorrow.
