The all New Zealand final between the Hurricanes and the Highlanders in Wellington on Saturday night has sparked a huge interest in fans scrambling to get the highly sought after tickets.
Queues began forming in Wellington over an hour before the tickets went on sale, while the Ticktek website was experiencing delays due to heavy demand.
Air New Zealand has scheduled one of its international jets for Dunedin fans, as part of a one‑off special service.
Air New Zealand will now operate a Boeing 767 service from Dunedin to the capital on Saturday morning providing an extra 230 seats to the game.
Neither the Hurricanes nor the Highlanders have ever won a Super Rugby title.
Meanwhile, Hurricanes boss Chris Boyd will be keeping his fingers crossed over the fitness of Ardie Savea and Nehe Milner‑Skudder.
The openside flanker and wing are suffering with knee and hamstring injuries respectively.
The Hurricanes will take on the Highlanders in the Super Rugby final at 7.35pm this Saturday.
