India soccer team striker Sunil Chhetri has become the second highest international goal‑scorer amongst those currently playing the game, surpassing none other than Argentine superstar Lionel Messi following his 66th and 67th goals during the opening clash of the Asian Cup against Thailand.
They beat Thailand 4-1.
34-year-old Chhetri who is known as the goal machine in India, is behind Cristiano Ronaldo who has 85 goals for his country.
