Calls have been made for disciplinary action to be taken against Kenya’s Sevens team head coach Paul Treu after steroids were found in the supplements which the Kenya Sevens players were taking.
An investigative task force which was set up by the Kenyan government revealed in a report that there were strong suggestions that Paul Treu and his coaching staff had violated anti-doping rules when they introduced supplements to the players.
The head of the investigative task force has said that the Kenyan coaching staff had been giving the players a mixture of different ingredients to drink before and after training sessions.
The report by the investigative task force also highlighted that Kenyan players would stop taking the supplements a few days before tournaments.
Paul Treu joined the Kenyan Sevens team as head coach in November last year.
