Vodafone Fiji Bati Coach Mick Potter says there is little possibility that star players like Jarryd Hayne and James Storer will be featured in both matches at this weekend’s Tri-Nations.
He says he does not want them to get injuries before the Rugby League World Cup.
Potter says they are working on their attack which is a little scratchy at the moment but overall he is happy with their training sessions.
The Tri-Nations opening match will be between the Fiji Bati and PNG Kumuls at 5.30pm on Saturday.
PNG Kumuls will then face Australia at 6.30pm Saturday.
The Fiji Bati will then take on Australia at 7.30pm Saturday
Meanwhile the Fiji Bati will be based in Townsville in Queensland for their opening two World Cup matches against the United States on 28 October at 9.20pm and Wales on 5 November at 8.30pm before travelling to Canberra to meet Italy on 10 November at 8.40pm.
