The Fiji Sports Commission are working with the NRL officials to formalize the transfer recruitment fees of young players from their local clubs in Fiji.
Fiji Sports Commission chairman Peter Mazey said they have had discussions with the NRL as many local clubs have raised concern that they are losing their players.
Meanwhile the NRL officials which includes Vodafone Fiji Bati fullback Kevin Naiqama and Australian Kangaroos coach Tim Sheens were in the country last week conducting clinics and workshops for the Fiji National Rugby League, local clubs and Primary Schools in developing rugby league in the pacific.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Sheens said about 40% of NRL players are of Pacific Island descent.
