South Africa have been dealt an injury blow ahead of their Rugby Championship opener against Australia at Ellis Park on Sunday after wing Aphiwe Dyantyi picked up a hamstring injury in training.
Dyantyi is also likely to miss the trip to Wellington to meet New Zealand on July 27.
No replacement will be named for the 2018 World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year as there is sufficient cover in the squad.
The Springboks face the Wallabies at 3.05am Sunday while the All Blacks and Argentina face off at 6.05am Sunday.
