The South African 7's coach Neil Powell has named his 12 member team to play in the Dubai and South Africa 7's.
Cheslin Kolbe and Rayno Benjamin make their return to World Sevens Series.
There is also a welcome return for regular skipper Kyle Brown, who has overcome his shoulder troubles.
Powell, who coached the Springbok Sevens to second place in the Series last season and to a Commonwealth Gold medal in June, said it was a tough job to select only 12 players for Dubai and Port Elizabeth.
The players who participated in the Gold Coast but missed out on selection for Dubai and Port Elizabeth are Chris Dry, Steven Hunt, Stephan Dippenaar and Justin Geduld.
The Springbok Sevens will face Wales, Portugal and Canada in Pool D.
Meanwhile the Vodafone Fiji 7s team will take on France in their first pool match at 6.44pm next Friday. They will later meet Brazil at 9.44pm.
Their last pool match is against Argentina at 1.52am Saturday. The cup quarter finals start at 8pm Saturday, the cup semifinals are at 1.55am Sunday while the cup final kicks off at 3.42am.
