Fiji Airways National Men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber will have a good depth of players ahead of the 2017/2018 World Sevens Series when some of the Drua players join the national sevens camp in a few weeks.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Baber says this will benefit the team in the long run with so many quality players available to choose from in the series.
Some of the Drua players who are expected to join the national sevens training squad include Eroni Sau, Apete Daveta, Vasikali Mudu, Samu Saqiwa and John Stewart.
Meanwhile, Mesulame Kunavula, Sevuloni Moceinacagi and Banuve Tabakaucoro have been rested for this weekend with injuries.
Baber is confident this side will do a great job for them this weekend in the Oceania 7s.
Some of the experienced players who will be playing this weekend include Jerry Tuwai, Vatemo Ravouvou, Apisai Domolailai, Kalione Nasoko, Josua Vakurinabili, Waisea Nacuqu, Samu Bale and Paula Dranisinukula.
