The Solomon Rugby 7s team is looking forward to learning as much as they can when they make their debut in the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s next weekend.

Former Flying Fijians and Solomon Islands coach, Alivereti Mocelutu says this is another step for his side to gain exposure in a high-level tournament such as the Marist 7s.

Mocelutu adds that three Under 18 players will be featuring for them as they will also be preparing for the Youth Olympics next month.

Two Solomon Islands referees will also be officiating at the Marist 7s next week.

Meanwhile, a sevens tournament has been organized by the Solomon Island 7s team where 12 teams have confirmed their participation at the USP Ground Laucala Campus on Saturday.

Former Flying Fijians coach Ilivasi Tabua is also assisting the Solomon Islands Rugby 7s team ahead of the Marist 7s.
