Some soccer players who were tested positive for marijuana use in the Courts IDC may not play any level of football for the rest of their life from this Saturday.

Five soccer players will face the Fiji Football Association Board of Control Meeting this Saturday and will have to explain their cases.

Fiji FA’s CEO Mohammed Yusuf says the time for education is over and they will now be issuing harsher penalties.

Ten soccer players had tested positive for marijuana in the Vodafone Fiji FACT and Inkk Mobile BOG.

They were suspended for a month and were cleared to play again when the next test came back negative after a month.

Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji soccer team will face Estonia in an International Friendly at 3pm this Sunday at the ANZ stadium and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
