The experienced Philip Snyman is back from injury and will yet again spearhead the Springbok Sevens’ effort next weekend in Las Vegas.
Snyman, one of only six South Africans to play in 50 World Rugby Sevens Series tournaments, missed the previous tournament in Hamilton due to a hamstring injury but is ready for the trip to North America.
Three other half-centurions are also Nevada bound which include Kyle Brown, Branco du Preez and Cecil Afrika.
Springbok Sevens coach Neil Powell made a total of six changes to the team that played in the final in New Zealand.
Four of those are due toSuper Rugby commitments, with Seabelo Senatla, Sikhumbuzo Notshe, Tim Agaba and Kwagga Smith, all back with their respective franchises, while injuries to Justin Geduld and Rosko Specman ruled them out of selection.
The Blitzboks face Wales, Canada and England in Pool B in Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, Fiji will play Russia in their first pool match of the Las Vegas 7s at 12.06pm next Saturday and we take on France at 3.07pm next Saturday. Fiji then play their final pool match against Kenya at 8.36am Sunday.
The Cup quarters start at 1.26pm next Sunday, the Cup semis will be held at 9.12am on Monday 5th March while the Cup final will kick off at 12.30pm Monday.
