Vijay Singh has narrowed his focus at the Fiji International this week as he is determined to win a title on home soil.
Singh says that he wants to win this year and is more focused to play.
Singh’s hard work does not just stay on the golf course.
Just moments before fronting the media yesterday, he had been slogging it out at the gym, a regular part of his daily routine.
He says an increase in Fijians in the Fiji International field is also another step in the right direction.
The local golfers will also get a chance to compete for the FJD$1.76million prize money.
The tournament will start tomorrow and end on Sunday at the Natadola Golf Course.
Australian Golfer Steven Jeffress is the defending champion and will compete again this year.
The Fiji International is co sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia and OneAsia. The Fiji International has a worldwide audience across more than 30 countries reaching over 400 million homes.
