Sharks put an end to the Rabbitohs finals hopes

The Cronulla Sharks have celebrated the 300‑game milestone of veteran Luke Lewis with a much‑needed 26‑12 win in front of their home fans last night.

The loss officially puts an end to the Rabbitohs finals hopes – even six straight wins from here is unlikely to earn a finals berth.

Meanwhile in another match last night the Roosters found their groove late to claim a scrappy 28‑4 win over a brave Knights.

In other NRL matches today the Panthers will face the Tigers at 5pm, the Raiders take on the Storm at 7.30pm, the Cowboys will meet the Warriors at 9.30pm while tomorrow the Dragons face the Sea Eagles at 4pm and the Tigers take on the Eels at 6pm.
